About us
Founded in 2013, Waltham Forest Migrant Action (WFMA) is the only organisation providing free immigration advice in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Our weekly drop-in centre offers visitors a warm welcome, free advice on immigration, housing and welfare issues, and opportunities to socialise with the local community.

A fairer and more equal society for people seeking asylum, refugees and migrants.
Our mission
To provide support for local people seeking asylum, refugees and migrants in Waltham Forest; and to advocate and campaign for the rights of migrants in the UK.
Our strategy for 2026-26
For over a decade we have stood in solidarity with migrants in Waltham Forest and the UK, offering practical advice and support to local migrants through our drop-in centre, promoting integration between migrants and locals through opportunities to socialise and share meals, and fighting back against harmful narratives about migrants in the UK media.
Last year we helped 366 people from 71 nationalities, and our numbers continue to grow.
As life becomes ever more difficult for migrants across London, the UK and the world, we remain committed to fighting for a fairer and more equal society for migrants, and supporting our fellow human beings.
